Responsibilities: Responsible for providing support services to young adults through geriatric individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in the different stages of recovery. Through the operation of the Drop In Center, members gain skills in areas of daily living, employment, education, social engagement, our art recovery program, physical health and recreation. Services are based on person-centered evidence-based practices, in order to serve adults with mental health illnesses who could also have a co-occurring substance abuse or developmental disability for the attainment of being successful in environments of their choice with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention. The CPSS will assist persons served by providing services and supports necessary to assist the recipient in achieving and maintaining rehabilitative, sobriety, and recovery goals. Qualifications: High School diploma required, AA or BA in Human Service field preferred. Person with lived experiences required (defined as having been treated for mental illness and or substance abuse). Crisis intervention and criminal justice population experience is preferred. Peer Support Specialist Certification is required.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:30 – 2:30 – Part time – 20 hours per week
