The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing various engineering, configuration, and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager. The Engineering Technician is also responsible for supporting the departments currently managed by the Engineering Manager. These include Test, Box Build, Routing, Wash, Conformal Coat, and Process Engineering.
o Perform routine equipment maintenance as assigned.
o Assist with equipment repairs and installation.
o Troubleshoot failed equipment, interacting with equipment manufacturers and service companies as necessary.
o Read and understand written equipment documentation, including manuals and usage instructions.
o Assist with ESD control audits and installation of ESD protective devices.
o Assist with periodic equipment calibration.
o Assist with Test, Box Build, Routing, Wash, Conformal Coat, and Process Engineering departments as required.
o Read, understand, and reliably follow written work instructions within those departments.
o Identify deficiencies in existing instructions and make suggestions for improvement.
o Use basic test equipment like DVM multimeters and oscilloscopes.
o Identify components using CST part numbers.
o Troubleshoot failed electronics assemblies.
o Interpret product documentation including schematics, test specs and test procedures.
o Other duties as assigned.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
o Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
o Act as a member of the Engineering team and attend and actively participate in requested meetings.
o Follow chemical, MSDS, and ESD procedures.
o Must follow all safety requirements, promptly report safety accidents and illnesses, and report potential safety issues, concerns, and situations to supervisor.
o Stay abreast of current industry technology, trends and knowledge and provide to the Company by sharing this information with the Company.
o Good communication skills and ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members.
o Good written and oral communication skills.
o Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and be free from federal warrants and must not be on any Federal watch list.
o Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
o Ability to learn and utilize other Company software to perform job.
· Frequent standing, walking and sitting.

· Must be able to work at computer or work station for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to see and accurately delineate between various colors.
· Ability to see and identify small electronic components.
